Our History
In 2001, a decision was made between brothers Robert and Douglas Thompson to establish “Black River Traders” as a subsidiary company under their family owned Fischer Thompson Beverages. The newly incorporated Black River Traders, Inc. would concentrate its business on specialty beer and wines.
The Company has distribution of domestic beer and wines from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Mexico and California, with imports coming from Germany, England, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Guatemala, Columbia and Peru.
We continue to grow from our first year, to 6,300 cases in 2003, to over 20,000 cases at present, with over 200 active accounts, 2 sales representatives and 2 beverage vans on the road, Black River Traders is expected to grow even larger in 2008! And as the business grows, Fischer Thompson Beverages’ info-structure can be utilized to meet the needs necessary to keep Black River Traders, Inc. the successful company that it has become today!
Black River Traders, Inc. will continue to explore new products and become a vital distributor in the beer and wine industry, just as its parent company – Fischer Thompson Beverages has become over the years!
